Ben Robinson

Managing Director

Ben has extensive experience in the finance and property industries. Within his career he has held senior management and analytical roles in both the corporate and institutional property finance divisions of major Australian banks as well as consultancy and advisory roles for major Australian developers and institutions. Ben has intimate knowledge of the specific capital requirements of both developer and investor clients alike.

Whilst working with Pontier Advisory, Ben has delivered strategic solutions on behalf of clients related to, site analysis, market analysis, legal frameworks, highest and best use, program creation, program delivery, valuation, proprietary feasibility software (Estate Master), and project finance. Major clients have included the State Government of Victoria, large Church organisations, not-for profit organisations and private development entities.

Ben holds the degrees of Bachelor of Business (Management and Finance), Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance, Master of Commerce, Master of Business (Property) and is currently completing his doctoral research in Built Environment. Ben is also a Fellow of the APDI.

Steven Stiles

Program Director - VIC

Steven is a skilled professional in Property and Finance, specialising in financial modelling, risk management, capital structuring, and feasibility analysis. He has worked extensively with industry leading organisations, providing the financial support required to deliver successful outcomes in a diverse range of projects.

During his time with Pontier Advisory, Steven has been a trusted adviser to his clients offering, property portfolio value enhancement strategies, financial forecasting, feasibility analysis and development advisory. Major clients have included the State Government of Victoria, large Church organisations, not-for profit organisations and private development entities.

Steven holds the degrees of Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Master of Applied Finance.

Mark Wist

Head of Research / Program Director - QLD

Mark has been a well respected member of the property industry for over 25 years, with key senior roles including Chair of the Oceania Education and Standards Board of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Mark’s key advisory mandates have predominantly been in the fields of property economics, market dissemination and strategic land use on behalf of private equity firms, major research houses, Universities and Government organisations.

Mark provides executive management advice, property economic reporting, land use solutions and advanced analytical data for complex single asset and portfolio transactions on behalf of key clients, who respect his level headed approach to complex matters. Major clients have included private sector, government organisations, Australian listed and unlisted funds and institutional investors.

Mark holds the degree of Bachelor of Property having subsequently registered as a valuer and has engaged in doctoral research at the University of Reading. Mark is also a Fellow of the APDI.

Jane Robinson

Planning Advisor

Jane has worked in numerous key roles related to urban planning and infrastructure, including Program Analyst at the Victorian Department of Infrastructure assisting the Director deliver new major policy, and working with GHD, one of Australia’s foremost planning advisory firms. Jane has worked on strategic mandates including Federal and State Government schools initiatives and major urban rezoning of strategic growth areas.

Jane holds the degrees of Bachelor of Business (Management) and Master of Social Science (Environment and Planning) with Distinction.


Peter O'Connell

Capital Markets Director

Peter commenced his working career in the finance sector with Westpac Corporate Property in 1989 eventually assuming the role of Director of Institutional Bank, Financial Institutions. After moving to J.P. Morgan in August 2008 as Executive Manager, Treasury and Security Services, Peter subsequently established his own consulting business in April 2012 before returning to Westpac as the Director of Superannuation, Institutional Bank.

Throughout his career he has maintained a strong focus on the FI and NBFI sectors with a specialisation in funds management and superannuation. Roles have largely been relationship management in nature with a strong sales and marketing focus enhanced by a number of senior analytical and strategic roles. These roles have provided a strong background in financial risk analysis encompassing financial markets risk, structured finance, financial and credit analysis across a number of industry sectors. Peter provides Pontier Advisory with a strong governance focus in relation to advisory mandates in funds management.

Michael Reddie

Legal Advisor

Michael currently works as a principle consultant and is recognised for his commercial solution focused legal advice. Michael advises a wide range of Australian and international corporate clients, investment banking groups and principle investors. Michael has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, takeovers, schemes of arrangement, private capital markets and corporate advisory.

Michael was previously a Partner at Gadens Lawyers and prior to that, General Council of a large civil engineering and infrastructure company.
